Ted Wright, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Wright joined The O’Gara Group in November 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace and defense business. Most recently, as COO of Vectrus, he successfully led the company’s spinoff from Exelis (formerly ITT Industries) into a NYSE publically traded company (VEC). Prior to Vectrus, Mr. Wright led the successful turnaround of Blackwater into ACADEMI, a leading global security services company, as its CEO. Prior to Academi, he enjoyed a successful career with KBR, BAE Systems, ITT and Ford Aerospace. Mr. Wright served the United States as a 30-year Air Force active duty and reserve officer.
Wilfred (“Bill”) T. O’Gara, Founder and Vice Chairman
Bill O’Gara, one of the founders, was the President and Chief Executive Officer and a director since the formation in August 2003. Mr. O’Gara was the Chief Executive Officer and director of Ohio Medical Inc., a medical instruments manufacturer, from January 2002 until the sale of all of its assets in May 2004. Previously, he served as Co-Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Kroll-O’Gara Company and Chief Executive Officer of its Security Products and Services Group. Mr. O’Gara also serves on the board of directors of LSI Industries Inc., a publicly traded company.
Dominic Hunter, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hunter has over 25 years of leadership experience in defense, cyber security and government contracting and has been Chief Financial Officer for The O’Gara Group since March 2016. Mr. Hunter was Chief Financial Officer for Cyberpoint International, a cyber security firm focused in Abu Dhabi and the UAE market, where he led pricing and cost proposal efforts to win over $500M in contract ceiling value awards. Prior to Cyberpoint, Mr. Hunter was a financial leader and Vice President at SRA International, Inc., a national publicly traded $1.5B government contractor, where he successfully directed multiple transformational process improvement initiatives. Mr. Hunter has served in the U.S. Military as an Intelligence Analyst, graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Accounting, and received designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Tony Russell, President of O’Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Company
Tony has 20 years of experience in the security and defense industry. Prior to joining O’Gara, Tony was President of BAE Systems’ Security & Survivability business ($1.5B in annual revenue and 4,300 employees across twelve sites), the leading provider of body armor, aircraft protection and vehicle survivability. Tony also served as Senior VP of the Ground Vehicle Survivability Division and Chief Technology Officer for Armor Holdings, Inc. where he provided life-saving products during a time of unprecedented surge. He served as Managing Director of Trasco in Bremen, Germany where he initiated and executed growth from insolvency to record commercial armored vehicle output. Tony has his BS, MS and PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
Michael Reynolds, Vice President of Program Management
Mr. Reynolds is the Vice President of Program Management, Operations and Engineering. He originally joined O’Gara in June of 1998 and has held many roles within the organization to include Survivability Manager, Director of Engineering, Engineering Director for the Business Capture, Programs & Operations Manager - Transparent Armor business segment, Vice President of Engineering (Armor Holdings) and Vice President of the BAE Systems Advanced Materials business segment. Mr. Reynolds graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Materials Engineering and M.B.A.
John Richter, Controller – Mobile Systems Division
Mr. Richter has been the Controller for O’Gara’s Mobile Systems Division since January 2015. Prior to 2015, he held several financial leadership positions with O’Gara and predecessor companies beginning with The Kroll-O’Gara Company in 1999. After O’Gara was acquired by Armor Holdings, Inc. (AHI) in 2001, Mr. Richter served as VP-Finance for AHI’s Aerospace & Defense Group during a time of unprecedented growth for the Company resulting in the sale of AHI to BAE Systems in 2007. Mr. Richter graduated from The University of Cincinnati with a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a CPA.
TRAINING & SERVICES
Kelly Dollins, Vice President / Training and Operations
Mr. Dollins has held numerous leadership positions in Federal Law Enforcement and the security and defense industry. With over 30 years of experience in the security industry, he has demonstrated superior leadership initiative, technical/tactical expertise, program enhancement creativity, and solid performance success. Recent positions were Department of State Tactical Subject Matter Expert, In-country Mentor (Indonesia) and Lead Instructor; Special Agent with the Department of Homeland Security Federal Air Marshal Service, Law Enforcement Division; Special Agent and Team Lead of the Federal Air Marshal Service Special Operations Group; and Assistant Director of Security for the Walt Disney Company. He has been involved with facility operations; security and training services; contingency operations and high threat protection; corporate security and cohesive team building. He has served customers from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines as well as numerous government agencies including the DOS, CIA, DHS, FBI and DIA. He is a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served proudly for 10 years on active duty.
Troy A. Smith, Vice President / Business Development
Mr. Smith’s experience spans more than 30 years in the U.S. Army and the private sector security and defense industry. Recent positions were Vice President, Business Development and before that Director of Strategic Development at ACADEMI; Director Strategic Initiatives, US Department of the Army-G3; Division Chief, Current Operations, U.S. Department of the Army-G3; and Squadron Commander, 4TH Infantry Division. He has been involved with military and contingency operations at the tactical, operational, and strategic level, including facility operations, maintenance, security and training including high threat protection; corporate strategy; business development and commercial sales. He has served customers from all branches of the U.S. Military as well as numerous government agencies including the DOS, CIA, DIA, DHS, DEA and other foreign and US based private sector Corporations. He proudly served for 26 years as a U.S. Army active duty officer with three combat tours to Iraq.
Rick Holman, Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Holman is a 25 year veteran of Naval Special Warfare. He has proven executive leadership skills with extensive experience and success in strategic planning, program development, training, training management and supervising daily operations. Being a former Navy SEAL, Mr. Holman has extensive tactical training in the area of Terrorist Operations. He is a Subject Matter Expert in the area of vulnerability and physical security assessments. He also has vast experience developing doctrines as well as planning and training publications.
